Ahead of his performance at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards on Thursday (December 12), Shaboozey took part in an video interview with the publication where he discussed his friendship with Morgan Wallen, his love of Medium Build, and the record-tying, chart-topping success of his crossover hit, “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” “It’s crazy,” Shaboozey said of his 19-week run atop the Billboard Hot 100 charts. “You know, we do music, and especially being from a small town like me, you watch all these greats and all these huge acts and people who have matched those achievements or done more, and you’re just like, ‘Man, I would love to be in those conversations and in those rankings.’” No matter how much success Shaboozey has achieved, he has stayed humble and keeps working. “It’s great to be here. Honestly.
